Terms of Service
Last updated: April 23, 2026
These terms apply to services provided by Rad Animal (Jake Goble, doing business as Rad Animal) via claude-consulting.vercel.app. Engaging Rad Animal for consulting services means you agree to these terms alongside any engagement-specific Statement of Work (SOW) or contract we sign.
1. Services Offered
Rad Animal offers custom-built AI operating systems via four packages:
- Starter — $750: Claude configuration, 2 automated workflows, basic Notion architecture, 1-hour training, 2 weeks of async Q&A (up to 1 hour of Jake's time). Notion Hub track only.
- Pro — $3,500: Full discovery, custom documentation package, full command center (Notion Hub or Custom Build), Claude Projects, 3-hour training, 30 days of post-launch support (up to 3 hours of Jake's time).
- Enterprise — $7,500+: Full end-to-end build and handoff, 10–12 document package, unlimited integrations, team onboarding up to 20 people, 90 days of dedicated support (up to 10 hours of Jake's time + 1-hour quarterly optimization call).
- Ongoing — $150/hr (or $125/hr founding rate for first 10 clients): available to past clients for continued optimization, new automations, and integration updates.
Full, current package details are on the Packages section of the main site.
2. Engagement Process
Each engagement follows this sequence:
- Discovery call: we confirm scope, pick your track (Custom Build or Notion Hub), and align on deliverables.
- Statement of Work: I send a brief SOW confirming the agreed scope, timeline, and any specific inclusions/exclusions. Your signature (or written approval via email) on the SOW, combined with these terms, forms our agreement.
- Payment: see Section 3.
- Delivery: I deliver the documentation package, build the system, and train you per the SOW.
- Handoff: formal delivery email with all assets, credentials handover, and final training. This moment starts your support window.
3. Payment Terms
- Starter: 100% upfront via Stripe or invoice before kickoff.
- Pro: 50% upfront to begin, 50% on delivery.
- Enterprise: payment structure customized in the SOW, typically 40/40/20 (kickoff / midpoint / delivery) or 50/50 at Jake's discretion.
- Ongoing: invoiced monthly in arrears based on actual hours worked.
Invoices are due within 7 days. Late payments beyond 14 days may pause active engagement work until resolved.
4. Support Caps and Overage
Each tier includes a defined support window and hour cap:
- Starter: 2 weeks of async Q&A, up to 1 hour, 2-business-day response.
- Pro: 30 days of post-launch support, up to 3 hours, 1-business-day response.
- Enterprise: 90 days of dedicated support, up to 10 hours + 1-hour quarterly optimization call, same-business-day response.
At contract signing, you choose one of two overage policies:
- Option A — Soft Cap: as you approach the cap, I'll notify you. You can either tighten scope or continue at the current hourly rate ($150/hr, or $125/hr if you qualify for founding-client rate).
- Option B — Hard Cap: beyond the cap, support pauses until new hours are authorized at $150/hr (or $125/hr founding rate).
Both options ensure time beyond the included cap is billable. Your SOW will reflect your chosen option.
5. Upgrade Credit Policy
If you outgrow your tier during your active engagement or within 60 days of formal delivery, the full price you paid applies as credit toward the next tier. You only pay the difference.
- Starter → Pro: $2,750 upgrade cost
- Pro → Enterprise: $4,000 upgrade cost
- Starter → Enterprise: $6,750 upgrade cost
Upgrade credit is:
- Available within 60 days of formal delivery; not available beyond that window.
- Non-transferable to other entities or clients.
- Non-stackable with referral credits or other discounts unless specifically agreed in writing.
- Applied to the upgraded tier's current price at time of upgrade.
- Available across tracks — if you started on Notion Hub Starter and upgrade to Custom Build Pro, the credit still applies (though the new build work is net-new).
6. Refund and Cancellation
Before work begins
If you cancel in writing before I've begun any substantive work (typically meaning before the discovery call or within 3 business days of payment, whichever comes first), you receive a full refund.
After work has begun
Once substantive work has started — including the discovery call, intake questionnaire processing, or any document drafting — refunds are prorated based on work completed:
- If less than 25% of deliverables are complete, refund of 50% of amount paid.
- If 25–75% complete, refund of 25% of amount paid.
- If greater than 75% complete, no refund; engagement completes as scoped.
In all cancellation scenarios, any work product already delivered remains yours to keep and use.
Cancellation by Rad Animal
I reserve the right to decline or exit an engagement if the project falls outside my capabilities, if the client-Rad Animal working relationship breaks down, or if requested work violates these terms or applicable law. In those cases, a prorated refund for undelivered work is issued within 14 days.
7. Intellectual Property
- You own your deliverables. Documentation packages, Notion hubs (and their structures/schemas when duplicated into your workspace), React dashboard code deployed to your GitHub, and any system configured specifically for your business are yours.
- I retain my templates and frameworks. The underlying templates, methodologies, discovery frameworks, and reusable components I've developed remain mine and may be used in other engagements.
- You grant me a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to reference our engagement (anonymized or, with written permission, attributed) in marketing materials including case studies, blog posts, and site content.
8. Confidentiality
Any non-public information you share with me during our engagement is treated as confidential. I do not share client specifics, strategy, or internal operations with other clients or third parties outside the subprocessors identified in the Privacy Policy.
If a more formal Non-Disclosure Agreement is required for your engagement, request it before the discovery call and I'll review and sign reasonable NDAs.
9. AI Outputs and Disclaimers
Important: Systems I build leverage large language models (primarily Claude by Anthropic). AI-generated outputs can occasionally contain errors, hallucinations, or unexpected behavior. I design workflows with review steps and guardrails where appropriate, but you retain responsibility for reviewing AI outputs before they reach clients, customers, or production contexts.
I do not warrant that any AI-assisted workflow will produce error-free output 100% of the time. Treat AI as a highly capable assistant, not an infallible authority.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rad Animal's total liability to you for any claim arising out of this engagement is limited to the amount you paid for the engagement in the 12 months preceding the claim. Rad Animal is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or business interruption, arising from the use of delivered systems.
11. Governing Law and Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. Disputes will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes will be submitted to binding arbitration in Los Angeles County, California.
12. Changes to These Terms
I may update these terms as my practice evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect changes. Active engagements are governed by the terms in effect at the time of signing; new engagements are governed by the current version.
